May 15 & 16 2010
This weekend DMBJJ only had 2 competitors fighting in the North American BJJ Tournament but both did great!
Justin Valdoria started things off by submitting both of his opponents. In the first match he finished by arm-bar from the knee on the belly and in the second match he finished by arm-bar as well but this time from the tri-angle choke. Great job Justin! Keep up the good work.
(This is Justins 12th Gold medal at only 7 YEARS OLD!!! He is a hard worker, and very talented. Justing is looking for a Gi sponsor. If interested please contact DMBJJ)
Dennis Uman went on to have 4 tough matches. He took the silver medal in his division by submitting his first opponent after being up 10x0, he then won his next 2 matches on points and lost on points in the finals. Great job Dennis!

Even though this is Justins 15th GOLD medal he remains humble (which is the DM Jiu-Jitsu way) and promises to continue training hard and strive to be a better student and training partner to his fellow student.
BIG CONGRATULATIONS JUSTIN!!

DMBJJ NEWS: Today was the "Best of the west" championships in Anaheim.
DMBJJ entered 3 competitors... and they all performed like spartans! Justin Valdoria (now sponsored by OTM) took the second place medal only losing to a higher belt (orange) by points as he took the silver. Andrew Casas scored so many points on his opponents we lost count ( like 28 total or something) as he took home the gold. Also taking home the gold was Dennis Uman. He submitted his first opponent in seconds with a beautiful Mata Leon choke, beat the second on points, and beat a tough purple belt in the finals. The new card strategy that DM Jiu-Jitsu has implimented for competitors and advanced students is working like a charm. Come see what its all about! Almost all the techniques on our cards were used in the matches and as you read, the results are incredible. 3 in and 3 win! See everyone Monday.
